In Arturo’s words: “When I was in Perú, I lived for a while in a mermaid’s house. With a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean, she rented me a small room on the roof, that at the time was my home and Art Studio. The night she gave birth I dreamt of her daughter. This painting is inspired by them and by the Amazonian myths that we enjoyed so much. I used fabric and natural amazonian bark that I brought with me when I came to Frankfurt.”

Mermaid & daughter is finished with UV-resistant satin varnish for protection and colour improvement

Frame made from European reforested woods

The painting is stretched and stapled on the reverse on a 0,7″ deep frame with the sides painted terracotta, for a contemporary look

Mermaid & daughter mixed media painting is hand signed by the artist on the front, and signed & titled on the back
